Biologics

biologic drug is a product that is produced from living organisms or contain components of living organisms. Biologics include recombinant proteins, tissues, genes, allergens, cells, blood components, blood, and vaccines.

Biologic drugs are used for treatment of numerous diseases and conditions, and are the most advanced therapies available. Some biologic drugs are used for the treatment of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitisrheumatoid arthritis, and other autoimmune diseases. Available biologics have revolutionized cancer treatment, delayed or reversed the course of immune related conditions, changed the lives of people with rare diseases, and have offered hope for many patients who previously had no effective treatment options for their condition.

S.o.t

Over the past two decades, Anti-Sense Oligonucleotide Technology (SOT) has emerged as a valid approach to selectively modulate gene expressions in various targets. The recent acceleration of science and the ability to identify new molecular targets for cancer, Lyme and other viruses, has driven new advances in this technology.

The SOT is a small oligonucleotide which is complementary to a specific sequence of each individual gene which is related with the most active target options inside the cancer cell, viruses or Lyme bacteria (e.g. acylguanidines, RNA, non-nucleoside transcriptase, etc.).  This is based on each individual and the most active target for that individual.

Intravenous immunoglobulin

Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is a biological agent though developed for the therapy of immunodeficiency states, is now utilized for many types of diseases including infections, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

While IVIG is beneficial in organ-specific diseases, especially of the skin and nervous system, it is also efficient for systemic autoimmune diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and vasculitis. The mechanisms of the positive of IVIG effects are manifold. The realistic goal of such therapy is to normalize the immunoregulatory system that has been compromised.

Exosomes therapy

Regenerative pharmacology offers a new frontier for medical therapy that can repair underlying pathobiology and restore native cellular architecture and organ function

The current therapy for many autoimmune diseases include the systemic use of anti-inflammatory drugs and potent immunosuppressive agents. However, despite their profound effect on immune responses, these therapies are unable to induce clinically significant remissions in certain patients. Exosome-based therapies offer many exciting possibilities for the development of novel treatments for autoimmune diseases.

Rituximab

Rituximab is a type of drug, known as a biological therapy, that can reduce inflammation and damage to your joints.

Normally, the immune system creates inflammation to protect the body from infections. But in some conditions a group of cells in the immune system, called B-cells, cause unnecessary inflammation which damages the body’s healthy tissue. Rituximab works by lowering the number of these B-cells, to reduce inflammation, pain, swelling and joint damage. If rituximab works for you, you'll probably start to feel some improvement after around six weeks.

* Biologic therapies are offered to patients who meet medical criteria and procedures done at our clinic only. Patient must travel to our clinic to receive treatment. Depending on therapy, please allocate 2-3 days for treatment and recovery.
